Hêbê has been founded in March 2008 by five individuals (Eva, David, Johannes, Netti and Tecla).
Today, the Hêbê Team is composed of 16 volunteers, which are members of Hêbê General Assembly. Out of them, eight are members of the Executive Board (Eva, David, Jasmin, John, Maria Joao, Netti, Salvatore, and Tecla). The Executive Board (EB) meets on a regular basis (every 6 weeks) to take decision on Hêbê ongoing projects, while the General Assembly (GA) meets twice a year to take decision on Hêbê Medium/Long term perspectives. As Hêbê is project driven, some of the volunteers, in addition to their involvement in the GA and EB, are also project leaders: Alfredo (Hêbê Opera), David (Hêbê Football), Jasmin (Hêbê Debate), Netti (Hêbê Party), Nicolas (Hêbê Theatre), Peter (Hêbê Traveler) and Tecla (Mardi Suares).

The new Executive Board runs from March 2010 until March 2012.
